what is a planning site notice?

A Site Notice is a physical notice of a planning application erected on site prior to the lodgement of a planning application.

All planning applications in the Republic of Ireland require the Applicant to erect a site notice. Site Notices must be erected prior to lodgement of a planning application to the local Planning Authority.

Failure by the planning applicant to erect and maintain same will risk a planning application becoming invalid.

How long must a site notice be displayed?

Site Notice must be erected no more than fourteen days prior to the lodgement of a planning application and must remain in situ and in good order for a minimum period of five weeks from the date of receipt of the planning application.

Invoicing

A VAT Invoice is provided with every site notice upon payment.

What is a monitored site notice?

Post the erection of a planning site notice, we can carry out one or more site visits to monitor and maintain the planning site notice(s) dependent on your needs. We send a monitored report after each visit via email with photographic evidence.

How should my site notice be displayed?

Your site notice must be visible at all entrances to the proposed site.

The Notice must be A4 in size and printed with legible ink

The Notice must be legible throughout the five week period

A site notice must be printed on a white background for a first notice, or a yellow background if you apply for permission for a subsequent development on the same site within 6 months of the first application.

What if my planning notice is invalidated and / or requires an amended site notice?

You will need to erect a superseded or new site notice depending on nature of invalidation, please contact us immediately.
